NTT DATA joins a R&D project hosted by New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (hereinafter referred to as "NEDO"), a governmental organization in Japan that promotes development of new industrial technologies. NTT DATA participates in one of its projects related to Unmanned Aircraft System Traffic Management (hereinafter referred to as "UTM") .

This R&D is aimed to accelerate the social implementation of robots and drones, which consists of two kinds of researches. One is a research on establishment of benchmark of robots and drone airframe, and the other is a research on development of UTM to fly drones safely.
